The scapolite stones are a group of silicate minerals which are composed of calcium, aluminium, and sodium silicate with sulfate, chlorine, carbonate. The formula is Na4Al3Si9O24Cl to Ca4Al6Si6O24CO3 . Scapolite comes in various colours such as colorless, pink, orange, green violet, blue. 

Is scapolite a rare stone?

Scapolite is a fluorescent mineral which glows as orange to yellow under UV Light. Some of its varieties are extremely rare. Mostly scapolite come in translucent varieties. This is basically a collector’s gemstone.
