Emerald is a kind of mineral which is variety of beryl. Beryl contains beryllium which is a rare atom. Green colour from vanadium and chromium, a trace elements. Emerald hardness is 7.5 – 8 on Mohs scale. Emerald is a mineral. and Earth has minerals above and inside surface. Under the crust and in mantle, the activity of mineral creation is a continuous process.
Beryllium is a rare Beryllium is a chemical element. It has a symbol Be and its atomic number is 4. Only in a few places, beryllium will be enough to form emeralds. For getting formation, it needs right pressure and temperature. Pressure will be much in deeper inside. Emeralds must be in deeper of the Earth’s crust. This process takes hundred millions of years. Along with depth, temperature and pressure, their should be enough beryllium to form an emerald.

Emeralds are found in Columbia, Pakistan, Ethopia, Afghanistan, Zambia mainly. In Pakistan, Natural green emeralds are found in Swat, Baluchistan, Fata, and now some deposits have been found in Hunza also.
